Games on the lawn, hotshot tennis, Ultimate Frisbee, Croquet, tennis.
The bar will be open and the club house with our fantastic new facilities is now fully operational. Bring your friends and family along to enjoy the night.
There are a number of items including plates and platters in the Lost Property box, which is located outside the Captain's Office. Please have a look to see if any items belong to you as they will be donated to charity soon if not claimed.
The council has finished its work on the club house and everything is available for use. The board are organising the equipment for the kitchen and new furniture and finishing off garden areas. Still a bit of work to be done but it is a wonderful club house and we are very excited to start organising some events for our members and the community next year.

has been in Melbourne Participating in the 14U Australian Championships and the 14U National Teams Events. After a solid week of singles Shanelle and her WA Team won through to the finals play off against Japan. The results were very close narrowly missing out on the National title.
Well done Shanelle
has also been in Melbourne playing in the 14U National Doubles event and making it through to the quarter finals in a very tough field.
is having a good start to her 12U campaign with good wins in Qualifying. Emma's 12U nationals tournament starts today.
Good luck Emma
A Showdown of another kind took place at the club on Sunday with the annual end of summer parents vs kids challenge. After some fierce competition and not very close matches....I was sent $10 and the results and .... clearly the parents won the day. A clean sweep across the board winning all matches and worst dressed awards for the day. (Jamie won that on his own)
HOT SHOTS GRANT
'Chase the ace' to wrap the session - on the only permanent mini red courts in WA. Come down Sunday and have a play on them.
The club is applying for the ANZ $10,000 Hotshots Grant and Ian has some great programs that he wants to run. This money would help get these off the ground.
That's a wrap for the first half of summer season. I hope everyone comes back fit and healthy and ready for the long run home. I am pretty happy to have a break now after an injury last week, will be ready to go again January 27.
Hang on...I just did a double take mmm that should be an interesting round January 27th, Saturday after Australia Day, middle of a long weekend and Busselton tournament. Ken has said that some teams organised to play that round early, captains if you can arrange it you might want to try.
Captains, plan your roster early it should be an interesting one.
This isn't a cute photo, this is my grumpy face meme.
After our kitchen opening on the weekend we came to the club Sunday and found the kitchen with food left in the fridge and dishes un-washed and lying around.
Please take some pride in your club and the work that has been done and help keep it clean by tidying up after yourself. Captains, please check that your team has cleaned up and taken all food home with them. We don't want the mice back again.
We have noticed on many occasions the lights being left on when players have finished playing. Please turn off the lights if it is after 7:30pm and there are no other players coming onto the courts. The lights should automatically go off at 10pm, if they do not, please turn off the lights at 10pm (or as soon as you have finished the game you are on)
During the Tennis West Season teams will be using hard courts H1-H4 (and H5-H6 on Mondays) Mondays through to Thursdays. Please leave the lights on if you finish playing before 7:30pm
CLUB SECURITY We are seeing increased levels of after hours usage of the hut on court H4 (the West side of the club). Broken glass on the courts, graffiti and rubbish and drugs have been found in the area. Please keep an eye out for any unwelcome behaviour and contact police on 131444 if you see anything causing concern.
If you are using the courts, please take glass and rubbish with you when you leave the area.
The club has discussed this with the police and council and increased security patrols are being put in place in the area.
